These terms apply to use of this website and to enquiries, bookings, and services provided by Thaina Miranda Occupational Therapy and Clinical Sleep Support.
About the service
This website is operated for the purpose of providing information about occupational therapy, paediatric support, clinical sleep support, and related services. References to “I”, “me”, or “my” mean Thaina Miranda. References to “you” mean the person using the website, making an enquiry, or booking a service.
Website information
The content on this website is provided for general information only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, emergency support, or a guarantee that a particular service will be suitable or available. Information on the website may be updated, changed, or removed at any time.
Bookings
Bookings may be made through the online booking system or by direct arrangement where applicable. A booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from the booking system or directly from me.
I reserve the right to decline, reschedule, or cancel a booking where a service is not clinically appropriate, where availability changes, or where circumstances outside my control affect delivery.
Fees
Current fees are listed on the Services page. Fees may be updated from time to time. The fee shown or agreed at the time of booking will usually apply to that appointment unless an obvious error has occurred.
Additional reports, letters, or services not included in the original appointment fee may be charged separately where relevant.
Payments
Where payment is required, it may be collected through the booking system, by invoice, or through another agreed method. Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking or before the relevant service is provided.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Life happens, and I completely understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please get in touch with me at least 24 hours in advance so that the slot may be offered to another family.
Late cancellations and no-shows
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in a £20 deduction from your session fee. This reflects the time reserved specifically for your child and the short notice given.
Exceptional circumstances
I always aim to be flexible and compassionate. If something unexpected comes up, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Each situation may be considered individually, and I will do my best to find a solution that works for your family.
Clinic, remote, and home-based services
Services may be offered at clinic, remotely, or by home visit, depending on the type of appointment and what has been agreed. For remote sessions, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable device, internet connection, and private environment where possible.
For home or school visits, you are responsible for ensuring that the location is reasonably safe and suitable for the appointment.
Reports and recommendations
Where a report or written recommendations are included, these will reflect the information available at the time of assessment and the professional clinical judgement exercised in that context. Reports are prepared for the purpose agreed and should not be altered or presented in a misleading way.
Use of the website
You agree not to use the website unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation, or copy, reproduce, or republish content in a way that infringes intellectual property rights or misrepresents the service.
Links to third-party services
This website may include links to third-party services such as booking, payment, or communication platforms. I am not responsible for the content, availability, or policies of those third-party services.
Privacy and confidentiality
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Information shared in connection with services is treated with care and professionalism, but may be disclosed where legally required or where necessary for safeguarding or serious risk reasons.
